ABOUT THE LME ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIP FUND

Following the sudden loss of our son and brother in 2008, our family collectively decided to start a scholarship fund to honor Lance's memory. In 2016, the Lance Michael Emmons (LME) Athletic Scholarship was created. We are proud to be a partner fund associated with Mercy Foundation.

Our mission is to promote healthy physical activities and remove the financial barrier that may prevent youth from participating in athletics.

Our funds provide scholarships for registration and equipment fees to young athletes pursuing a sport in Douglas County. We also provide support to youth athletic organizations in our area to purchase equipment, make improvements to playing fields, fund transportation costs, or even start new programs.
